Clearly, these people have an abuse problem and need treatment. If we are to get national health care, there should be PLENTY of focus on preventative care, not just reactive treatment. That would be my hope. I think the bigger concern here should be how much money we spend every year on this ridiculous 'war on drugs'. Note that there is specific mention: marijuana does NOT kill ANYONE. It should be legalized. How many people have been imprisoned over this benign plant? Maybe the war on drugs should be focused on pharmaceuticals instead? :-) Truly, they are more dangerous than the illegal drugs in many cases. And the fact that we allow advertisement of prescription drugs on TV baffles me. Only doctors should be recommending these, there shouldn't be direct marketing to people of prescription drugs.
