During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln called for sackcloth and a national day of prayer acknowleging our Fathers blessing on this nation. That it was not by our wisdom or the works of our hands ( Cruise missles,Abrams tanks,stealth fighters and bombers,nuclear subs and air craft carriers )that made us a great nation,but or heavenly Father’s blessing. Our Father listened and preserved the nation then and if enough of us were to do this again, maybe He would look upon us with His favor once again.
