Yesterday we told you it appeared unlikely Congress would pass a health care bill before the August recess. Things have changed in the last 24 hours. Congressional leaders are once again pressing to rush the bill through.
This is very dangerous. We must resist this with everything we’ve got. Not only will it be bad for the government to expand its involvement in health care, RUSHING to do so will be even worse.
If they pass a bill containing nearly 1,000 pages you can be sure that almost no one voting for it will really understand it.
Please hit Congress again. Use DownsizeDC.org’s health care campaign to send your message.
This time use your personal comments to tell your Congressional employees that you object to rushing through such an important and complicated bill. Tell them you expect them to read and understand every single word of the bill BEFORE they vote.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve sent recent messages on this issue. Send another one. Say something different this time.
We must keep opposing these proposals until they’re defeated, or we’ll regret it for the rest of our SHORTENED lives.

Well of course this bill sucks.
Single Payer, Not-for-profit, universal, medicare-for-all.
Nothing else is worth the ink on the pages.
This lady is oblivious if she thinks that free market healthcare will EVER improve. It can’t as long as the over-bloated middleman (and free market leaders) Health Insurance Companies are a part of the system.
It cannot be put any more simple than that.
She is wrong.

The World is a stage, and we are all actors in the play. Right now we see a play acted right before our eyes. What Obama is selling to the American people is this Private Insurance continued involvement, and a “public option”. The opposition is a farce. It is part of the play. What will happen? A public option for the critically ill, elderly, and those with preexisting conditions. This will cause Medicare and Medicaid to collapse. It will guarantee fatter profits for the Insurance Industry. The price of insurance will skyrocket because you will have to purchase it.
The only solution is single payer, and no insurance companies. Beyond that the Health Care and Pharmaceutical Industries must be brought under control. It must be people before profits, and not profits before people as it is now.
Wake up America!!!
