China Fired Missile Seen In Southern California – Wayne Madsen

Pentagon and its embedded media covering up Chinese show of force off LA

(MadsenReport) – China flexed its military muscle Monday evening in the skies west of Los Angeles when a Chinese Navy Jin class ballistic missile nuclear submarine, deployed secretly from its underground home base on the south coast of Hainan island, launched an intercontinental ballistic missile from international waters off the southern California coast. WMR’s intelligence sources in Asia, including Japan, say the belief by the military commands in Asia and the intelligence services is that the Chinese decided to demonstrate to the United States its capabilities on the eve of the G-20 Summit in Seoul and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Tokyo, where President Obama is scheduled to attend during his ten-day trip to Asia.

The reported Chinese missile test off Los Angeles came as a double blow to Obama. The day after the missile firing, China’s leading credit rating agency, Dagong Global Credit Rating, downgraded sovereign debt rating of the United States to A-plus from AA. The missile demonstration coupled with the downgrading of the United States financial grade represents a military and financial show of force by Beijing to Washington.

The Pentagon spin machine, backed by the media reporters who regularly cover the Defense Department, as well as officials of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), and the U.S. Northern Command, is now spinning various conspiracy theories, including describing the missile plume videotaped by KCBS news helicopter cameraman Gil Leyvas at around 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, during the height of evening rush hour, as the condensation trail from a jet aircraft. Other Pentagon-inspired cover stories are that the missile was actually an amateur rocket or an optical illusion.

Experts agree that this was a ballistic missile being fired off of Los Angeles. Pentagon insists it was a jet aircraft or model rocket.

There are no records of a plane in the area having taken off from Los Angeles International Airport or from  other airports in the region. The Navy and Air Force have said that they were not conducting any missile tests from submarines, ships, or Vandenberg Air Force Base. The Navy has also ruled out an accidental firing from one of its own submarines.

Missile experts, including those from Jane’s in London, say the plume was definitely from a missile, possibly launched from a submarine. WMR has learned that the missile was likely a  JL-2 ICBM, which has a range of 7,000 miles, and was fired in a northwesterly direction over the Pacific and away from U.S. territory from a Jin class submarine. The Jin class can carry up to twelve such missiles.

Navy sources have revealed that the missile may have impacted on Chinese territory and that the National Security Agency (NSA) likely posseses intercepts of Chinese telemtry signals during the missile firing and subsequent testing operations.

Japanese and other Asian intelligence agencies believe that a Chinese Jin-class SSBN submarine conducted missile “show of force” in skies west of Los Angeles.

Asian intelligence sources believe the submarine transited from its base on Hainan through South Pacific waters, where U.S. anti-submarine warfare detection capabilities are not as effective as they are in the northern and mid-Pacific, and then transited north to waters off of Los Angeles. The Pentagon, which has spent billions on ballistic missile defense systems, a pet project of former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, is clearly embarrassed over the Chinese show of strength.

Likely route of Jin-class submarine from Hainan base.

The White House also wants to donwplay the missile story before Presidnet Obama meets with his Chinese counterpart in Seoul and Tokyo. According to Japanese intelligence sources, Beijing has been angry over United States and allied naval exercises in the South China and Yellow Seas, in what China considers its sphere of influence, and the missile firing within the view of people in Southern California was a demonstration that China’s navy can also play in waters off the American coast.

For the U.S. Navy, the Chinese show of force is a huge embarassment, especially for the Navy’s Pacific Command in Pearl Harbor, where Japan’s December 7, 1941 attack on the fleet at Pearl Harbor remains a sore subject.

In 2002, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice reportedly scolded visiting Chinese General Xiong Guankai, the deputy chief of staff for intelligence of the People’s Liberation Army, for remarks he allegedly made in 1995 that China would use nuclear weapons on Los Angeles. Xiong denied he made any such comments but the “spin” on the story helped convince Congress to sink billions of additional dollars into  ballistic missile defense, sometimes referred to at “Star Wars II.”

I dont know which is more disturbing, the fact that the sub got that close in the first place then fired a missile which we didnt shoot down. or the thought of maybe we knew about it yet did nothing… kinda like pearl harbor and 911 conspiracy. What if that had been a “hot” missile and its trajectory brought it over the U.S. One would hope all those tax dollars arent a complete waste on alll that missile defence research.

Shot across the bow. “We now can penetrate your defensive network and launch at will right off your coasts at any point or time we choose if need be and you can do nothing about it”. Amerika’s strategic advantage is now toast…

I personally know the president of China and he told me that this was in fact a missile fired from his country. He also told me that 9/11 was not only an inside job but that the twin towers never even collapsed! It was all camera tricks and the media and stuff. I don’t know anyone in New York, but if anyone is posting in New York, can you tell us if the twin tower are actually not there anymore?

  5. al Says:

this is total bs. The US navy is doing testing in the waters all around the nation. What great Cold War propaganda. Wayne Madsen, great fear mongering and speculation without ANY evidence. You are seriously citing JAPANESE INTELIGENCE?????? That is about as credible as the CIA. I am very disappointed in Al Jones for running this story, makes me think back to what he did on Y2K

That missile seeded the LA area atmosphere with the Zombie Virus and soon the Zombie Plague and World War Z will begin. I’m actually OK with that, considering.

The most interesting bit I find so far in all of this is that all of the negative “comments”, due to the structure and verbiage and a few other items employed all appear to emanate from the same source…

  11. Gonzo Says:

It was not a missile fired by China. It was a missile test by the US Navy and they are lying when they say they did not fire it. Read about the evidence of this in Michael Rivero’s What Really Happened. Since when have the US armed forces ever told the truth? Not even once, ever!. Wayne Madsen writes: “The Navy and Air Force have said that they were not conducting any missile tests from submarines, ships, or Vandenberg Air Force Base. The Navy has also ruled out an accidental firing from one of its own submarines.”, and he seems to have forgoten the dozens of times when they have lied about missiles, starting with the one that brought down the TWA-800 in 1996. What a joke!. There’s not a shred of evidence that it was China. Not a shred of evidence.

  12. Gonzo Says:

…Ah yes, and then Wayne Madsen goes on to say: “For the U.S. Navy, the Chinese show of force is a huge embarassment, especially for the Navy’s Pacific Command in Pearl Harbor, where Japan’s December 7, 1941 attack on the fleet at Pearl Harbor remains a sore subject”… When at this point it is a historical fact that the US (including the President and all branches of the Defense Department) were very well aware of what was going to happen in Pearl Harbor and exactly when the bombing was going to start and they did nothing about it!. Not only they knew, but they catalyzed the attack by couching Japan into it quite shamelessly. That’s the only sore thing about Pearl Harbor. Madsen seems totally ignorant of history. His whole report about the missile in California is a joke!. One must wonder what sort of deranged agenda he’s pursuing by bullshitting his readers like this.

  13. G money Says:

China down-graded America’s credit rating from AA to A+. I’m willing to bet there was much back and forth behind the scenes with the U.S. promising reprisals if the credit down-grade occurred (that’s just how we/USA roll).

China responded to the threats by launching a missile off the Calif. coast, and the following day dropped the credit rating as if to say: Now WHAT!?!

  14. stormy Says:

I don’t believe for a second that China fired that missile, they have nothing to gain. They don’t need to get that close to make there point. Just test firing the missile makes it. As far as the attack submarine surfacing in the middle of a carrier battle group, laughable! Why would they do that? It makes no sense to let your enemy know the extent of your ability. Would an american sub let a soviet balistic missile sub know he’s being tracked to make a point? Pure bs.

  15. Soto Says:

Actually, it sounds quite reasonable that it was China: they helped financially last year and now, USA can`t pay the debt back. That`s actually fine for China because their country is polluted and has too little space for all their people. It is fine for them to take over US country (west part of the US) instead of the money. There is so many space left over for the many Chinese people (just visisted Washington State, Montana etc) and was surprised how empty the country side is. Not imaginable for European people…. and Chinese even less.
China needs land and US has it. China has money, USA not. So, quite easy to imagine what is going on…

  16. Frank Says:

I do believe the chinese sub fired off this missile,, go to you yube american subs and you see the chinese subs right next to ours, trying ti intimidate our navy,, we americans became pussies and soon will be knelling to the chinese, after all don’t they own us with the debt we have with them,, sorry ass californians too stoned to see reality

  17. Gary Says:

I think any rational, half intelligent person could tell that this was definitely no airplane,
or optical illusion. C’mon give us a break. This was a missile launched by whom we don’t know yet.

The colour of the smoke trail is evidence that it’s not homegrown US missile. Just as Rome fell, so too is the US falling. Too many foreign interests are always an empire’s downfall. Interesting how people automatically think of 9/11 as soon as the name Pearl Harbour pops up. Frankly, I’m quite surprised this missile didn’t land in some populous area, as a pre-emptive Chinese strike, but then again, can you imagine the US actually taking on a real enemy, as opposed to the imaginary ones the spin doctors create? One thing’s for sure, Chinese oil is safe from your baby-killing minions – whether or not your soil is safe from the Chinese is another thing altogether. We Aussies also stand no chance, despite all the years of ass-licking our leaders have offered yours.

Laughable. The lack of a grasp of both history and military tactics is painfully obvious. Anyone reading this comment who has an open mind would immediately be drawn to the exact opposite conclusion, or into doing their own research in the first place- perhaps what was in fact intended, no?

When Madsen was interviewed on infowars last week, he made several slip-ups. He talked of how he was stationed at Coos Bay, Oregon and how this chinese sub popped up there, right next to the USS Kitty Hawk, during war games. He went on to say it was the same day as this missile launch and from the same place. Now, first of all, the USS Kitty Hawk was decommissioned last May, 2010.I did a Google search & found a CBS story, dated ’06 saying that the event had happened in October of that year.
I find everything he said incredible. He actually said this missile launch (last week) was from Coos Bay, Oregon! One can only guess that after he came off his meds, he cleaned up his story.
    Japanese intel. Ha!
Now wouldn’t they just love for us to nuke China! The only other ‘china dun it’ story out there comes from the hate-mongering faction, Sorcha Faal…and their intel is from the Kremlin!
Smells like a set-up to me.
    Pentagon: “It was a plane.”
    Truthers: “It was a missile”
Pentagon: “Well then, let’s bomb somebody.”
    Ring any bells?

Sorcha Faal has been outed as a fraud. The Kremlin doesn’t do rumours. They are a branch of US Naval intelligence.

another practice for a future false flag attack to justify more defense expenditures for the military-industrial complex. the 2 muslim wars we’ve been fighting for a decade are insufficient cause for congress to approve budgets for big ticket items like STAR WARS III (supposedly in preparation for WWIII) such as more B2 bombers, more subs, more jets, more missiles and more black ops unaudited and unlimited budgets including diversions to Israel. it’s all about the money. none of these greedy hawks really want to destroy the world, otherwise they’d also lose. but they can miscalculate and underestimate future responses by potential adversaries. now why would our own government tell us the truth when they decide to test fire a sub-launched icbm that can be blamed on our major economic competitor (and savior from our recent recession) and future military equal? did they tell us the truth that dick cheney and rumsfeld conspired with israel and david silverstein, owner of the wtc’s to cause 911? it’s all about psychological propaganda to prepare our citizens for future warmongering exploits by our nation’s select elites, descendants of the annunaki and royal blood line. december 21, 2012 will be the end.

Just think, arrogant people, you are not alone anymore playing your dog’s game and messing around the world!

Doesn’t anyone ponder why only Alex gets this information and nobody else on the planet, other than rank and file presumably, has a clue what’s going on? And if Alex truly does get information why he is permitted to leak National Security information with no consequences? This article is illogical and speculative.

The U.S. Army could take out the oil pipelines leading to China if retaliation were mandated and not hurt a fly. This is not a secretive topic given that fear is ‘their’ greatest weapon. MIght their be an interest to diminish any civil strife? Possibly given all the Asian Americans not to mention our alleged $47T indebtedness, but that’s running with questionable information. The prevailing evidence suggest to me that strong alliances are being formed with the Asian world and the Illuminati is being rejected in many forms, namely, the Federal Reserve. If anyone launched this to surprise the U.S. military it would be, in my estimation, members on our team who have shifted their alliances to a shadow government and therefore have access to ‘our’ weapons.

Some people thrive on the nearly real threats that false stories provide. There is zero evidence that a missile was launched by the Chinese off the CA coast and further, the missile would have been tracked and it’s descent to Earth also reported somewhere over the Pacific Ocean yes? The missile defense system would have possibly shot it down if it posed a threat right? If this was just flexing, is this author suggesting that the Chinese sub was completely stealthy? Anytime a security breach of this magnitude occurs, logic suggests it’s the guys on this side of the fence behind the activity!

There is technology that can read a fingerprint from space or detect voice inflection amongst thousands of simultaneous cellphone transmissions, but we missed a multi-ton metal Chinese submarine, including possibly a radiowave controlled launch sequence, less than a couple of hundred miles from an array of U.S. Naval military bases situated along the CA coast from San Diego to San Francisco. I would believe E.T.’s more than this hyped up nonsense but they don’t do missiles I presume! (smile) Me, I think the ghost of Ronald Reagan farted.
