(NaturalNews) – A new scientific study published in The Lancet reveals that influenza vaccines only prevent influenza in 1.5 out of every 100 adults who are injected with the flu vaccine. Yet, predictably, this report is being touted by the quack science community, the vaccine-pushing CDC and the scientifically-inept mainstream media as proof that “flu vaccines are 60% effective!” Read the rest of this entry »

The poll is part of Gallup’s annual Crime poll, conducted Oct. 6-9. This year’s poll finds support for a number of gun-control measures at historical lows, including the ban on handguns, which is Gallup’s longest continuing gun-control trend, according to their website.

(RussiaToday) – Libya Shattered As Per NATO Plan; Gaddafi’s Family Seeks Justice at the Hague
Relatives of the slain Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi are reportedly looking to The Hague with a ‘war crimes’ lawsuit against NATO. They accuse the Alliance of deliberately targeting Gaddafi’s convoy, which they say posed no threat to civilians. NATO was only allowed into Libya by the UN solely to protect citizens. Meanwhile, the military alliance has postponed its preliminary decision to end its Libya mission by the end of this month, following calls from the interim government to stay on. (NaturalNews) – A new study has found that teenagers who consume high amounts of sugary soda appear to be more prone towards violence than teenagers who consume less or no sugary soda. The more soda a teenager consumes, in other words, the more likely he or she is to show violent aggression towards classmates, a significant other, and even family members.
David Hemenway, a professor at Harvard University’s School of Public, and his colleagues instructed a group of 1,878 public school students from inner-city Boston to fill out questionnaires about how much soda they had consumed in the previous seven days. The questionnaires also asked the students how often they carried weapons, consumed alcohol, smoked, and had a violent interaction with another person. Read the rest of this entry »

Yet, we try to live the change that we want to see. We don’t have TV, we homeschool our boys, and we’ve opted out of the system as much as possible. We eat healthy, don’t use dangerous household chemicals, and shop almost exclusively at the local level. We grow food, keep chickens, recycle, and live as simply and independently as feasible. There is a very good chance that some of your neighbors or co-workers may be preppers. You may even have noticed that some of your relatives and friends have been storing up food and have been trying to convince you that we are on the verge of “the end of the world as we know it”. A lot of preppers like to keep their preparations quiet, but everyone agrees that the prepper movement is growing. Some estimate that there are four million preppers in the United States today. An activist group that sparked the Occupy Wall Street movement has called for global protests on Saturday to demand G20 leaders impose a “Robin Hood” tax on financial transactions and currency trades.

(MediaRoots) – Rhetoric aside, Obama continues to be the darling of Wall Street. In 2008, President Obama racked up $750 million dollars for his Presidential campaign, and is projected to take in roughly $1 billion dollars for 2012. Although the President appears to commiserate with the Occupy Wall Street movement and its dissatisfaction of Wall Street’s influence over politics, Obama has raised far more money this year from the financial and banking sector than any other GOP candidate combined. With such astronomical figures with which Obama’s been bought by the ruling-class, it’s no surprise he has broken virtually every campaign promise. With this kind of financial sway, it must be fully expected he will do it again, should mass cognitive dissonance persist in 2012 granting him another four years. Read the rest of this entry »
(BoilingFrogsPost) – Recently, Mark Hosenball dropped the bombshell that a secret panel of White House Security Council members meets to draw up a “kill list” of American militants. Salon columnist Glenn Greenwald wrote a scathing critiqueof the panel, comparing it to a notorious English court known as the “Star Chamber.”
“[A] panel operating out of the White House — that meets in total secrecy, with no known law or rules governing what it can do or how it operates — is empowered to place American citizens on a list to be killed by the CIA, which (by some process nobody knows) eventually makes its way to the President, who is the final Decider. It is difficult to describe the level of warped authoritarianism necessary to cause someone to lend their support to a twisted Star Chamber like that.”Read the rest of this entry »
