The suspect, Harold Glen Rodman, 52, allegedly was wearing his uniform and displayed a badge to the victim, a 37-year-old woman.
Police arrested Rodman on Nov. 20. He is charged with aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration, forcible sodomy and abduction with intent to defile.
Police said the victim reported that she and a friend were in the 10500 block of Winfield Loop in Manassas when the suspect approached them. The suspect flashed a badge and sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing on foot, police said. Full story here.

The narrative of the attack is that a Russian-based hacker created minor “glitches” in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) which, according to Krebs on Security, is “designed to monitor and control complex industrial networks.” Apparently, it caused the system to turn on and off, resulting in the burnout of a water pump. A shocking videotape of police forcefully pepper spraying a group of students staging a sit down protest has emerged.
Footage of the tense standoff between police and Occupy demonstrators at the University of California, Davis, shows an officer using pepper spray on a group of protesters who appear to be sitting passively on the ground with their arms interlocked.
Witnesses watched in horror as police moved in on more than a dozen tents erected in the campus quad drenching demonstrators with the burning yellow spray and arresting 10 people, nine of them students.
