Money For Nothing – Another $200 Million Wasted In Iraq

(RussiaToday) – As the US deficit continues to spiral out of control ahead of a huge fiscal cliff that will cause massive cuts nationwide US taxpayer money continues to be wasted by the Pentagon.
As the US Postal Service is set to default on two massive payments and the rest of the nation faces massive cuts due to the upcoming fiscal cliff the United States government continues to waste money on the most absurd things.
It is no secret that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been a black hole for US taxpayer money.
Story after story reveals money just outright disappearing, billions being wasted on things like bribing local officials and protecting the opium trade to keep the locals happy so they can make money smuggling flooding Russia’s black market with heroin.
The RT has the latest on another $200 million absolutely wasted on a program to train place that was not wanted or needed but some corrupt politicians in Washington obviously were getting kick backs.
Pentagon money constitutes the lion’s share of the US annual budget expenses and in fact it’s growing every year. But there is something to think about. The US inspector general for Iraq reconstruction now says US taxpayers have been funding a 200 million dollar programm to train Iraqi police that is not wanted or needed by those its aimed at helping. It’s called the “Police development program” which is the largest State Department program in the world. So what exactly are the Americans getting out for their money?
