U.S. Interests in Afghanistan

February 3rd, 2013

(FB) – A hard look at what the REAL reasons were for invading and occupying the country in which our CIA gave birth to Al Qaida. (Those who attacked us on 9/11 were mostly Saudis, by the way.) The Taliban had awarded contracts to the Bridas Corp. to build the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline, but then Governor Bush (TX) managed to provide a counter offer on behalf of Unocal. When the deal fell through, he declared the Taliban were all terrorists and took over their country using the 9/11 attacks and Osama Bin Laden as an excuse. (OBL’s been dead since ’01, according to Benazir Bhutto.) G.W. Bush was still negotiating for the pipeline with the Taliban as late as 2002, even after he’d accused them of protecting Bin Laden.
