Republicans Block Vote on Yemen Using “Farm Bill”, 5 Dems Help
With a vote to end the U.S. funding of the Saudi war in Yemen moving foward in the Senate, Republicans in the House hid an amendment in the Farm Bill this week to prevent a similar vote in their chamber. But that attempt would have failed had it not been for five Democratic members of Congress who joined the GOP in blocking a vote on continuing to fund the Saudi war which has already killed 50,000 civilians and left another 85,000 children dead from starvation.
