(RussiaToday) – Thousands of protestors have lashed out in Georgia against President Mikheil Saakashvili this week, and now demonstrations are leading to violence and arrests. Are the events in Georgia similar to other oversea uprisings the world has seen as of late? Investigative journalist Wayne Madsen thinks so. In this case, however, the leader in question—Saakashvili—is a US puppet, says Madsen. And while this revolt may be similar to protests in Egypt, Yemen and elsewhere, Madsen doubts NATO won’t impose a no-fly zone over Georgia anytime soon, noting America’s allegiance with Saakashvili. Chomsky discussed the United States’ support of dictatorships in Egypt, Tunisia, Georgia, Jordan and Colombia.
