(BernieSuarez) - Watching world events lately one cannot help but to wonder, whatever happened to the war in Afghanistan? Are U.S. soldiers supposedly still exchanging fire with Al Qaeda as (supposed) payback for 9/11? For a couple years I had been offering cash reward for anyone who can prove the war in Afghanistan to be a real “war” scenario; you know, the one with the video proof of the opposition actually firing back at our positions. Consistent anti-war sentiment is a minority opinion on the Left
(MisesDaily) - Common wisdom would purport that those on the so-called “right” are and have always been hawkish and pro-war, while those on the proverbial “left” have always been the tree-hugging, peacenik, anti-war folks. For many conservatives, unfortunately, this is more or less correct. However, progressives have once againairbrushed their own past, which is about as anti-war as, well, war. Fall of Saigon scenario ready to unfold at U.S. embassy
(KurtNimmo) - The U.S. embassy in Baghdad may soon fall prey to ISIS.
The embassy – the largest and most expensive diplomatic complex in the world, nearly as large as Vatican City – has maintained a corridor to Baghdad International Airport. In June Obama ordered the deployment of an additional 200 troops to reinforce security at the embassy and airport. Read the rest of this entry »
(BrandonTurbeville) - Nearly two years ago, in November, 2012, Barack Obama made his now infamous remarksthat “there’s no country on Earth that would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens from outside its borders.”
Obama’s statements, of course, were designed to act as cover and protection for the Zionist settler state of Israel as it launched and continues to launch violent campaigns of slaughter and extermination against the Palestinians. Obama reiteratedhis position by stating that the United States supported Israel in its “right to defend itself” against “missiles landing on people’s homes and potentially killing civilians.” Read the rest of this entry »
(BrandonTurbeville) - Informed observers and those knowledgeable about the crises in Syria might be somewhat confused by recent remarks made by Vice President Joe Biden at the annual John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics.
At first glance, Biden’s comments seem as though they are a stunning admission that not only are there no moderate rebels in Syria but that close American allies like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates are responsible for their growth and proliferation in Syria.
(BrandonTurbeville) - As if any reasonably informed observer would be surprised, the United States is now eying the possibility of implementing a buffer zone in Syria “very very closely.”
On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, U.S. Secretary of State and Skull and Bones member John Kerry statedthat “The buffer zone is an idea that has been out there. It is worth examining, it’s worth looking at very, very closely.”
The statement, demonstrating that the United States is edging ever closer toward the goal it has desired since the beginning of the Syrian crisis – a buffer zone – comes only days after Turkey’s parliament passed a resolution to allow the Turkish military to enter the sovereign territory of Iraq and Syria under the pretext of battling Western-backed IS militants. (NewEasternOutlook) - The speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Akila Saleh Issa, at the UN General Assembly demanded the international community to provide assistance in enhancing security in this troubled country. He stated that the rebuilding of a combat-capable army in Libya is a matter of utmost importance, otherwise people will be left to face terrorists on their own.
The alarming statements made by Libyan authorities coincide with the ongoing missile strikes of the US against ISIL militants. Read the rest of this entry »
Prime Minister David Cameron says strikes in Syria would be lawful on the basis of protecting neighboring Iraq
(TheHill) - The British Parliament voted overwhemingly on Friday to approve airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), joining the coalition led by the United States.
The House of Commons voted 524 to 43 to approve the strikes. The measure authorizes strikes only in Iraq, stating that those in Syria would be subject to a separate vote. It also notes that ground troops will not be deployed in combat.
The BBC reports, however, that Prime Minister David Cameron says strikes in Syria would be lawful on the basis of protecting neighboring Iraq.
Some lawmakers in the United States have pointed to the British vote to show that Congress should also vote on authorization. Full article here
Imam of mosque suspect attended linked to Muslim Brotherhood
(KurtNimmo) - Alton Nolan, the man accused of beheading a coworker in Oklahoma City, attended a mosque run by an iman tied to Anwar al-Awlaki, the al-Qaeda operative who dined at the Pentagon a few months after the 9/11 attacks.
Suhaib Webb presided over the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, a mosque attended by Nolan, and currently serves as the iman of a sister organization in Boston, according to Breitbart. The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is connected to the alleged Boston Marathon bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Read the rest of this entry »
(BrandonTurbeville) - In what is more proof that the NATO operation against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is merely Libya 2.0, the Obama administration is now stating that it is open to the possibility of establishing a “no-fly zone” over Syria.
The statements, made by both Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and General Martin E. Dempsey, are supposed to hinge upon an agreement with Turkey, that is itself calling for a “buffer zone,” one of the wishes of NATO since the very beginning of the Syrian crisis. Read the rest of this entry »
(JamesCorbett) – As bombs start dropping in Syria and Iraq, the world is once again being asked to cower in fear of a shadowy terror group that most people hadn’t heard of just a few months ago. But even the most cursory examination of ISIS’s past, its connections, and the actors populating it reveal a very different story than the one we are being asked to believe in. Fake terrorists. Foreign backers. False flags. Meet the new boogeyman, same as the old boogeyman.
(BrandonTurbeville) - Only a day after the United States launched airstrikes against alleged ISIS targets in Syria, the real reasons behind these specific targets are gradually becoming clearer. Yet, for anyone who actually thought that the U.S. airstrikes were something other than an attack on Bashar al-Assad’s government forces, the location and targets of the strikes may tell a different story if looked at closely. (GlobalResearch) - The ISIL or IS threat is a smokescreen. The strength of the ISIL has deliberately been inflated to get public support for the Pentagon and to justify the illegal bombing of Syria. It has also been used to justify the mobilization of what is looking more and more like a large-scale US-led military buildup in the Middle East. The firepower and military assets being committed go beyond what is needed for merely fighting the ISIL death squads. Read the rest of this entry »
(GlobalResearch) - Under the auspices of the United Nations Security Council, with president Obama chairing the Council session, the United States has called upon the international community to adopt strong measures, at national and international levels, to curtail the recruitment of Islamic State fighters.
What is not mentioned in the media reports is that the heads of State and heads of government who have endorsed America’s campaign against the Islamic State, advised by their respective secret services, are fully aware that US intelligence is the unspoken architect of the Islamic State, which is part of a vast network of US supported “jihadist” terrorist entities. Countries are either coerced into supporting the US sponsored resolution or they are complicit in the US terror agenda. Read the rest of this entry »
(ScriptoniteDaily) - I’ve been in Brussels today witnessing the Russell Tribunal on Palestine which is assessing Israel’s war crimes in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge. The full testimony is available on the Tribunal’s website, but I have captured some key excerpts from my live reporting today.

(ActivistPost) - David Cameron told the U.N. that “non-violent extremism” is just as dangerous as terrorism and must be eradicated using all means at the government’s disposal. He references 9/11 and 7/7 Truthers as examples of the type of extremism that must be dealt in a similar fashion to ISIS.
“The strategic ‘rebel’ breakthrough is being prepared in the vulnerable southern underbelly of the country.”
(BlackAgendaReport) - The U.S. offensive against ISIS in Syria will very soon revert to its original mission: regime change in Damascus, the strategic objective that unites America’s Euro-Arab-Turkish-Israeli coalition. Although U.S. military planners insist it will take eight months to a year to fully assemble and train a “moderate” Syrian rebel spearhead to confront government forces, political and military realities dictate that the Americans must move much more quickly to upset the balance of forces on the ground. Otherwise, the whole structure of western dominance in the region could unravel – catastrophically. Read the rest of this entry »

(ZeroHedge) - Thanks to a dizzying barrage of lies, mainstream media fear-mongering and a couple of beheadings, the Obama Administration finally achieved its long sought after war in Syria. The tactic that proved most effective in mobilizing the American public back into a shivering, post-9/11 fetal position, was the same tactic used by elites in the UK to convince Scotland against voting for independence. That tactic, as I detailed in a recent post, is fear. Read the rest of this entry »

(BrandonTurbeville) - With the recent and ongoing airstrikes launched against Syria by the United States and its “regional” and NATO allies, a number of questions have arisen from a variety of quarters who remain entirely confused as to the ongoing angles of the players involved in the Syrian crisis. Confusion, of course, is a natural state resulting from the mainstream media’s attempt to conceal the fact that the United States and NATO/GCC are entirely responsible for the Syrian crisis to begin with as well as for the massive seizure of territory across Iraq and Syria by ISIS militants. These same media outlets have also played a major role in the obfuscation of the understanding of the crisis by providing false delineations and name changes bound to confuse an American population already afflicted with a short attention span. (TruthStreamMedia) - This is what our Nobel Peace Prize Winning President said in front of the UN General Assembly on September 24, 2014 — the same day U.S. military weapons hit some 168 targets including a dozen oil refineries in Syria…
“We must declare war on war, so the outcome will be peace upon peace.”
It’s as if Obama is trying to reconcile his peace prize with his legacy of war by arguing that the U.S. is not at a traditional war (because the U.S. is always at war) but just as we go to yet another war, we’re actually at a war against war in the name of peace.
(LandDestroyer) - As Western-backed terrorists drive allegedly tens of thousands of refugees into Turkish territory, and amid what is being called a “sustainable, persistent campaign” of air assaults, missile strikes, and other assorted attacks on Syrian territory, the West is preparing to dust off plans to establish a “buffer zone” in northern Syria protected by NATO troops – particularly from Turkey. Hurriyet Daily News in its article, “Turkey’s top soldier inspects troops on Syrian border as gov’t signals joining anti-ISIL bid, ” indicated Turkey was preparing to join the unilateral, illegal strikes on Syria led by the US and backed by several Persian Gulf autocracies. (NextNewsNetwork) – During President Obama’s speech to the United Nations, he opened up right out of the gate by blasting Russia. With Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov sitting right there in the same room, Obama accused Russia of terrorizing Ukraine for the whole world to see. It’s not the accusations against Vladimir Putin that we’re looking at today though. Many of those aggressive actions Obama condemns are actually true. But when you listen to how Obama describes Russia’s actions in Crimea and Ukraine, there’s a clear parallel to the similar conflict happening in Iraq and Syria. Read the rest of this entry »
