Multiple Explosions Rock Superior, Wisconsin Oil Refinery, 1 Mile Evacuations In All Directions

An explosion has occurred at the Husky Energy oil refinery in Wisconsin, causing a fire and injuring at least five people, local officials say. The cause was not immediately known.

The accident happened at 10:06 a.m. CT on Thursday when workers at the plant in Superior were attempting to shut it down for repairs. The blast appears to have involved a tank containing crude oil or asphalt.
