This is obviously a parody on corporations like Gillette claiming to “influence culture.”
They say on their website: “It’s time we acknowledge that brands, like ours, play a role in INFLUENCING CULTURE. And as a company that encourages men to be their best, we have a RESPONSIBILITY to make sure we are promoting positive, attainable, INCLUSIVE and healthy versions of WHAT IT MEANS to be a man.”
They say we’re in “a new era of masculinity” and that they “pledge to actively challenge the stereotypes and expectations of what it MEANS TO BE A MAN everywhere you see Gillette.” So, they’re claiming to help set the standard for “masculinity” and what it actually “MEANS to be a MAN.” Gosh…I’m sure glad they’re here. For, without them…how could we ever be the “best men we could possibly be” or even know what TRUE MANHOOD actually is? What a JOKE! Shoulda stuck with razors Gillette!
