Another Color Revolution from CIA Handbook: The Case of Armenia

In the seventy-ninth edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers: Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Izvestia, Kommersant, and Komsomolskaya Pravda Moscow Edition. He discusses the recent dramatic political events in Armenia, which look a lot like yet another color revolution from the CIA handbook of regime-change. In addition, Professor Kovacevic describes the new types of weapons that the Russian military plans to display publicly for the first time during the Victory Day parade on the Red Square. He also analyzes the implications of Russia’s stated willingness to transfer the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Syria. Lastly, Professor Kovacevic discusses the history of the WWII Russian military special force ‘SMERSH’ (or ‘Death to Spies’), which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding.
