(C4L) – Americans have voted, and voted for change. Real change.

Yet the most important area requiring change is one that received virtually no attention on the campaign trail: foreign policy.

No doubt, wild spending and mounting debt threaten America’s fiscal future. ObamaCare will deliver worse medical care with fewer choices at higher cost. Extreme proposals for “cap and trade” could wreck the economy. Reform is needed on more than a few domestic issues.

(C4L) – According to Paul Krugman, getting out of this depression is as easy as cranking up the printing presses at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. However, I believe, as a card-carrying member of the “Pain Caucus” (foolishly, or maybe my motives are darker), that the government’s current economic policies of borrowing and spending might not do anything but dig our economic hole even deeper.

Krugman and many other economists believe that the government is much too stingy and that what it needs to do is not cut back on spending and borrowing but rather throw the spending levers full forward. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has defended a report issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center that smears Ron Paul supporters, people who have knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, and people who display political bumper stickers as potential domestic terrorists. Read the rest of this entry »

Alex Jones has received a secret report distributed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) entitled “The Modern Militia Movement” and dated February 20, 2009. A footer on the document indicates it is “unclassified” but “law enforcement sensitive,” in other words not for public consumption. Nine state legislatures have either passed or introduced bills intended to reaffirm their state’s sovereignty as laid out in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution. Another twenty states are expected to introduce similar measures this year. While the ramifications of these resolutions are still uncertain, one thing is clear. People are sick and tired of the federal government’s usurpation of power not granted to it by the Constitution. Texas Congressman and member of the House Financial Services Committee, Ron Paul, has slammed Republican opposition to the latest proposed stimulus bill, saying it cannot make up for the last eight years of unfettered spending.
