(TheHill) – A majority of people favor President Obama’s efforts to impose stricter gun laws, according to a Gallup survey released late Friday.

(UPI) – Sixty-four percent of Americans said they oppose federal enforcement of marijuana laws in states where smoking marijuana is legal, Gallup said.

Americans who say they think marijuana should be legal overwhelmingly said the federal government should not get involved at the state level, as do four in 10 of those opposed to decriminalized marijuana, results of the USA Today-Gallup poll released Monday indicated.

Forty-eight percent said they thought marijuana use should be legalized while 50 percent said it should not, the Princeton, N.J., polling agency said. Read more

(KurtNimmo) – It’s bad news for gun-grabbers and other enemies of the Second Amendment – only 26% of respondents to a recent poll believe the government should ban handguns.

The poll is part of Gallup’s annual Crime poll, conducted Oct. 6-9. This year’s poll finds support for a number of gun-control measures at historical lows, including the ban on handguns, which is Gallup’s longest continuing gun-control trend, according to their website.

Fifty-eight percent of Americans believe a third major political party is needed because the Republican and Democratic Parties do a poor job of representing the American people.
