(Salon) – The New York Times‘ Scott Shane reported this morning on the Bureau of Investigative Journalism study I wrote about yesterday, detailing that the U.S. drone program, as the NYT put it, “repeatedly targeted rescuers who responded to the scene of a strike, as well as mourners at subsequent funerals.” Shane’s article contains this paragraph:

A senior American counterterrorism official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, questioned the report’s findings, saying “targeting decisions are the product of intensive intelligence collection and observation.” The official added: “One must wonder why an effort that has so carefully gone after terrorists who plot to kill civilians has been subjected to so much misinformation. Let’s be under no illusions — there are a number of elements who would like nothing more than to malign these efforts and help Al Qaeda succeed.”

Well, one prudent thing to do would be to contact the previous employer.

Can you imagine FOX News, as it called CNN to get a character reference for Glenn Beck? What do you suppose CNN would report?

Well, they would likely tell FOX that Glenn was good at following orders, toeing the “station line” and reporting what he was asked to do. For CNN, that would be the “liberal line”. (MakeItEightEh) – On yesterday’s Alex Jones Show,  there was an extremely philosophical moment for Jones as he discussed the “digesting of truth” that must inevitably be done. Words cannot substitute one’s own realization of the truth. Jones admits he feels powerless and a failure for not being able to convey the magnitude of the reality in which we live.

For some, it is argued, that accepting the big picture means accepting that the entire world as you know it is “wrong”, a lie, and for that reason people are not willing to look at the big picture. It is hard to allow the truth that has always been there to be accepted. It is difficult for some to take the time to watch video after video, repeatedly of the WTC buildings collapsing, and coming to the realization that there is only one logical reason.
