(WashingtonsBlog) - Bill Binney is the NSA’s former senior technical director, 32-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a “legend” within the agency, one of the world’s top crypto-mathematicians, who managed thousands of employees at the agency.
“Every time you come to Russia with a sword, from a sword you will perish.”
(PaulCraigRoberts) - The former Russian provinces, which Soviet party leaders carelessly attached to Ukraine at a time when it seemed to make no difference as all were part of the Soviet Union, are now independent republics with their own governments. The West pretends that this isn’t so, because Washington and its puppet capitals don’t recognize the independence of formerly captive peoples. But the West’s opinion no longer counts. (Cryptogon) - Western elites stole Ukraine from a deranged dictator with a bogus populist uprising. Now, kleptocrat Putin is stealing it back with irregulars, mercenaries, and tanks.
Don’t come to the conclusion that Putin is some sort of good guy. Putin is just like Western elites, but with a more direct approach, and what amounts to a personal arsenal of nuclear weapons. There are no good guys here. Murders? Yes. Thieves? Yes. And on both sides. Read the rest of this entry »
(BizPacReview) - Democrats believe global warming poses a bigger threat to the United States than Islamic State terrorists, a new Pew Research Center poll revealed.
Just 25 percent of Republicans polled called climate change a major threat to Americans, while 68 percent of Democrats agreed with the statement, according to the Pew Research Center.
When asked about Islamic State terrorists, 65 percent of Democrats were worried about the group – fewer than those concerned about global warming. Meanwhile, 78 percent of Republicans called the Islamic State the No. 1 threat to the U.S. – a 13-point partisan difference. Read the rest of this entry »
(NewEasternOutlook) - The announcement by Barack Obama on July 31st to appoint John F. Tefft as the new U.S. ambassador to Russia is a warning to the Russian government of the intentions of Western foreign policy planners. Tefft, who has worked for the State Department and the National War College in Washington, is an expert at planning color revolutions to overthrow regimes targeted by the Western elite. He is the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine where he was a key architect in preparing the Washington orchestrated coup in Kiev.
(CNN) – A U.S. lawmaker is calling for the arming of Ukrainian forces engaged in fighting Russian troops along the nation’s eastern border with Russia.
Sen. Robert Menendez, D-New Jersey, is in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on a fact-finding mission into the monthslong conflict there between pro-Russian rebels and the Ukrainian military.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, Menendez called this a “watershed moment” in the conflict. He said it’s time to recognize what’s really happening in eastern Ukraine — not a rebel uprising, but a Russian invasion.
“And we must recognize it as that,” said Menendez, chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee. “When I read the headlines back at home that suggest rebels are advancing in different parts of eastern Ukraine, it’s not rebels — it’s Russian soldiers.”
“We should be providing the Ukrainians with the type of defensive weapons that will impose a cost upon (Russian President Vladimir) Putin for further aggression.” Read more
(BernieSuarez) - Here are some simple burning questions whose answers can only be described by the globalist plans for a new world order. These questions strike at the root of the question all of humanity is asking: Who is ISIS?
1. Where do they bank? Or do they have a money tree?
2. Where do they get their guns from? Bullets? Knives?
(BrandonTurbeville) - As the geopolitical tug of war continues to take place over the ravaged country of Ukraine, both sides of the conflict – NATO and Russia – have begun taking steps toward a more solidified structure of alliances that will no doubt have massive reverberations across the world and possibly lead to direct confrontation between nuclear powers.
Indeed, as further evidence that the Western NATO bloc desires an ultimate conflict with Russia and the BRICS powers, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has indicated that Ukraine is firmly on the path to become an eventual member of the NATO alliance. Read the rest of this entry »
(AltMarket) - Government engineered false-flag terrorism is a historically established fact. For centuries, political and financial elites have been sinking ships, setting buildings on fire, assassinating diplomats, overthrowing elected leaders, and blowing people up, then blaming these disasters on convenient scapegoats so that they can induce fear in the public and transfer more power to themselves. (JamesCorbett) - When Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 went down on July 17, 2014, we were immediately inundated with base propaganda trying to convince us that the shootdown could be traced back to the Kremlin. But what was this rush to judgement based on? What have we learned about the crash since then? Why has MH17 completely disappeared from the news cycle? And who really stood to benefit from the disaster? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this week’s edition of The Corbett Report. Read the rest of this entry »
(BrandonTurbeville) - Right on schedule and as many researchers, including myself, predicted, the Western-backed and engineered rise of ISIS across Iraq and the most likely staged Foley beheading video is now being used as justification for the violation of Syrian airspace, itself only the precursor to “targeted airstrikes” inside Syria.
According to the New York Times, the Obama administration authorized surveillance flights over Syrian airspace over the weekend. Defense officials stated Monday evening that the US military is sending both manned and unmanned (drones) surveillance flights over Syrian territory. The drones will also be joined by U-2 spy planes. A new system called Robo Brain is being funded by the usual suspects in the military-industrial-surveillance complex.
(NicholasWest) - The initiative to merge robotics with artificial intelligence continues to expand its vision. I recently wrote about an internal cloud network program which enables robots to do their own research, communicate with one another, and collectively increase their intelligence in a full simulation of human interaction. It has been dubbed “Wikipedia for Robots.”
A parallel project in Germany went further by seeking to translate the open Internet into a suitable robot language that would prompt accelerated, autonomous machine learning. Read the rest of this entry »
(Nation.Com.PK) - An armed Chinese fighter jet conducted what Pentagon officials called an aggressive midair intercept of a U.S. Navy submarine-hunting aircraft during a routine patrol above international waters.
Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said the incident occurred August 19, 2014 about 135 miles east of Hainan island in the South China Sea and involved a Navy P-8 Poseidon plane. Read the rest of this entry »
(WashTimes) – President Obama is considering U.S. airstrikes in Syria against militants of the Islamic State, the White House said Friday.
“We’re not going to be restricted by borders,” said Ben Rhodes, a national security adviser to the president. “We’re actively considering what’s going to be necessary to deal with that threat.” Read the rest of this entry »
Covert co-operation may signal the beginning of a once unthinkable alliance
(LondonInd) - Islamist forces are fighting their way into western Syria from bases further east, bringing forward the prospect of US military intervention to stop their advance. If Isis, which styles itself Islamic State, threatens to take all or part of Aleppo, establishing complete dominance over the anti-government rebels, the US may be compelled to act publicly or secretly in concert with President Bashar al-Assad, whom it has been trying to displace. “Further provocation” and represents a “dangerous escalation”
(ZeroHedge) - With no Instagram #selfie image or YouTube clip as proof (yet), The White House issued a statement proclaiming that today, in violation of its previous commitments and international law, Russian military vehicles painted to look like civilian trucks forced their way into Ukraine… and that Russia has no right to send vehicles, persons, or cargo of any kind into Ukraine, whether under the guise of humanitarian convoys or any other pretext, without the express permission of the government of Ukraine. Furthermore, the actions “only amplifies international concerns about Russia’s true intentions…for which it will bear additional consequences.” If that sternly-worded email was not enough, President Obam took time away from the course on Martha’s Vineyard to chat with Angela Merkel and then issued a joint statement somewhat sheepishly noting that this is “further provocation” and represents a “dangerous escalation.”Read the rest of this entry »
The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has long threatened to carry out a catastrophic attack on American soil
(AJC) – The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has long threatened to carry out a catastrophic attack on American soil, with a spokesman recently boasting that the militant group would fly its flag over the White House. Read the rest of this entry »
(BrandonTurbeville) - The Islamic State and the war in Syria is back on the front pages of the news once again on the heels of the alleged killing of James Mark Foley, an American journalist working in Syria. The outrage surrounding the alleged beheading of Foley, while justifiable if it is real, is already being used for propaganda purposes, namely in order to build up American support for an aerial bombing campaign against the Syrian government.
With this in mind, it is important to examine the facts surrounding the alleged execution of James Foley and the ways in which this incident is being used to justify more American military intervention in the Middle East and Syria specifically. Read the rest of this entry »

(ABCNews) – New video shows an upscale high-rise apartment building in Gaza City destroyed in a cloud of fire and smoke during an Israeli airstrike.

(Mondoweiss) – An astonishing piece by Henry Siegman, at the Norwegian Peacebuilding Resource Center, goes further than this Jewish leader, who escaped the Holocaust himself, has gone before. Siegman categorically defends the right of resistance for a subject people exposed to the violence of occupiers in occupied lands and says Palestinians may exercise the same right of resistance exercised by Jewish people in the 1940s. He uses the words “Dresden” and “incineration” to describe the destruction of Gaza, and then explicitly likens Netanyahu’s ideology of Jewish exceptionalism to the ideology of the Nazis.
(ElectronicIntifada) – Israeli Major-General Giora Eiland has urged that all food and water be cut off to Gaza’s nearly 1.8 million Palestinian residents – a major war crime and precisely the “starve or surrender” policy which the United States has condemned when used in Syria.
Eiland, the Israeli government’s former national security advisor, argues that Gaza should be considered an enemy “state.” Read the rest of this entry »
(Mondoweiss) – Hours before the latest ceasefire was set to expire last night, Israel resumed attacks on the Gaza Strip and Hamas again began to launch rockets. Both sides blamed each other for the failed ceasefire. Five missiles hit the al-Dalou family home in Gaza City, killing the wife and three-year-old daughter of Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif, and injuring 18. The al-Dalou family was targeted in 2012 when an airstrike destroyed their home. Read the rest of this entry »
(LandDestroyer) - Denying civilians admittedly needed aid constitutes, in the West’s own terms, a crime against humanity. While in Syria attempts by the West to openly arm and equip known terrorist organizations within Syrian territory included a mandate from the UN that allowed supplies to flow without the approval of the Syrian government. Those “aided,” are now clearly the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) running rampant on both sides of the Syrian-Iraqi border. Read the rest of this entry »
